CityTransitData is a joint initiative between UITP (The International Association of Public Transport) and Moscow Transport. CityTransitData aims to collect and display data from cities all around the world on sustainable mobility on topics such as public transport ridership, services provided, the impact of COVID-19 on the sector, among others. By gathering and presenting such data, CityTransitData seeks to be a central point for information and insight into sustainable mobility around the globe.
UITP is the International Association of Public Transport and a passionate champion of sustainable urban mobility. Established in 1885, with more than 135 years of history, it is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. UITP has more than 1,800 member companies in 100 countries throughout the world and represents the interests of key players in this sector.
The Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow is responsible for implementation, management and control of transport policy. The Department is responsible for the smooth functioning of the capital’s mobility system, facilitating over 20 million trips per weekday in 2019.
